lyrics

Soulsearching
Words and Music by Mike Younger

I'm gonna make my way over to the riverside
And when the moon is high I'm gonna take it on a midnight ride
Cos every once in a while I need a little place to hide
When the weight of the world starts chewing me up inside
So if you call me up and I'm nowhere to be found
You're gonna have to keep it together
til I get back on the merry-go-round

Soulsearching baby Soulsearching baby
Soulsearching down by the riverside

I'm gonna take my place down at the water's edge
I wanna feel the wind on my face when I make my pledge
I wanna get in tune to higher frequency
where the cussing and the fussing and the fighting don't follow me
So don't you worry none if you can't get me on the line
I'll be over here by the water stepping out of my worried mind

Soulsearching baby, Soulsearching baby
Soulsearching down at the riverside

Just let my mind go drifting out where the river's flowing
all the way down and out to the sea
Where a fog is lifting and a cool breeze blowing
Come along come along with me

Soulsearching baby, Soulsearching baby
Soulsearching down by the riverside
